TO THE KEENSPACE ARTIST: WELCOME TO KEENSPACE, ASPIRING COMIC ARTIST!
This is a rather rough template you can use to start off your comic.
Note, it's not the best thing out there, but hey, you probably know less
of HTML or doing this in Netscape Composer(hint: save often!). I encourage
you to actually edit this template (indextemplate.html) and the dailytemplate.html
file, too, to truely make it your own work. But a few hints to help you
out:
- Try to minimize scrolling. If your comic is larger than 720 pixels
large, you'll probably want to shrink it. Not everyone has a 1280x1024
display like you have. (For those 640x480 folks, sorry, we gotta aim
for a middle ground)
- Take Scott McCloud's advice:
Think of a webpage as like a newspaper, and you want your comic on the
upper half. Don't let it go past the fold!
- Don't be afraid to ask questions. Keenspace has a Help forum, and
us Wranglers read through it daily. You can also contact us via e-mail
(help (at) keenspace.com). But don't ask specifically for Nate(our main
KeenAdmin)-- you'll get one of us. If it's a severe problem, we'll tell
Nate what needs to be done.
